Well it is clearly in the “Syracuse Metropolitan Area” … or is it? It is hiding in plain sight that’s for sure.

I think it was at one time a military barracks but I don't know for sure some research needed on my part. As for if it is in Syracuse or not I think the title of this thread gives you a good enough hint what general area it is in. I'm not telling you the exact location that is no fun. If you want to PM me I might be more forthcoming. It is a large location something like 30 buildings but they are all cookie cutter once you have seen the 2-3 different layouts you have seen them all. I will say one home/building had some more interesting things in it which I have not posted here because they give the location away. Maybe some of the others might yield some good finds. I will be going back soon to explore the rest as it is very close to where I live and security is lax to non-existent. Some more pictures can be found here: http://www.flickr....72157619754964166/ Edit: Correction somewhere around 70-75 buildings [last edit 6/16/2009 2:21 AM by DarkForce - edited 1 times]

| | | It's an abandoned air force barracks and other administrative buildings. I added it to the LDB years ago, cool site to explore. A lot of paintballers go there often.

LOGIC BOMB: Commenting on it is doing something involving it! Face it, you are deeply involved with --perhaps infatuated by-- that toilet. It's crying out to you, and you will dream about it tonight. Instead of denying it, admit & embrace your deviant fascination with it -- that'll be the first step in overcoming your nasty toilet fetish & as long as you're being honest with us all here & showing efforts to improve yourself, we won't chastise or attempt to humiliate you about your filthy addiction disease.
My first thought, not being anywhere near NY, is that it's around the Love Canal area, but if you're pretty sure it's an old military site, I can provide a history of the place if someone PMs me the location.

| | | Hi guys, I was there not long ago and got caught by the cops. The combo of my squeaky clean record and the lack of a posted sign got me off the hook with a warning. The police do rounds and I left my motorcycle in a place where they saw it and came in looking for me. Back in the early 90's I drove past this place on my way to work every weekday and I remember the housing complex alive with the families, kids toys and laundry out on the clotheslines. Then it was closed down some years later and left to rot. Some areas were sold off for commercial development but this part remains under the control of the city even though it's not in the city. Be careful if you go because it borders a DHS controlled area and that's federal stuff. They have no sense of humor. If you do go, park in one of the industrial parking lots and wait for the patrol to come through then quick duck in when the coast is clear.
