Underground Chambers, LONDON early 08

I read about this place in a very obscure magazine quite a while ago but I never thought I would actually gain access, which in itself was incredibly lucky. I spent a good couple of hours looking around this place and could easily have stayed longer. It must have once been some kind of giant refrigerator judging by the infrastructure left in the building but all sorts of things had since been stored in there. Being practically pitch black throughout made this place quite a challenge to photograph and move around in. It was well worth the effort though, almost like stepping into a time machine. Amazing to think this is tucked away somewhere in London and makes me wonder how many other places there are hidden away like this one.

Something like that - a good way to get a small space and still capture the edges. I had to go the long way around to get a similar effect: 23 exposures and a while to stitch them.

That's intense. What software are you using for stitching?

Yes I used a fisheye. A good lens but tbh I think it just gets on your nerves after a bit.

Looks like a former WWII bomb shelter converted to something else?

Turn off the internet and go play outside.

I don't think it would have been deep enough tbh.
