|  | | | Driving to a friends house a buddy and myself were completely lost and my GPS 'Shiela' was taking us around in circles. I kid you not I circled the same stretch of the highway and interstate for an hour. Anyway I decide to stop listening to the GPS and drive about randomly when I came across this old house which was completely overgrown by trees and barely noticeable as I drove by. I had to circle around three times to find a decent place to park. We walked over to an adjacent church parking lot to come in through the back to avoid being seen from the main road. Around the back was an old garage and as with all abandoned places we found crutches inside. The back door and front doors were kicked in with the back door no longer attached to the frame, as luck would have it none of the windows were damaged so there wasn't too much weather damage and not too heavily vandalized and not one bit of graffiti on the house at all. Inside the house it was very thoroughly trashed, everywhere we walked we were crunching around on glass that was underneath all the crap strewn about the floor. The most recently dated thing in there was a calendar dating August 2002 but everything seemed so 70's there was a teaching certificate dating 1974, there was a wood burning furnace in the living room. There was a second floor here, it was like an add on built into the attic which was extremely hot up there. I didn't go too far up there with the floor collapsing upstairs so i took a few shots and got down from there. We never did find my buddy's house but we did find this cool place.
