I was hoping to get into the mausoleum and maybe hit a few other structures, but wound up just walking around and reading tombstones. (The mausoleum was locked and chained. What's up with that? Didn't anyone tell them it's Memorial Weekend? Ch'uh!)

| | | Gettysburg? I grew up on a street called Cemetery Hill, in Carrollton Texas though. [last edit 5/24/2009 3:01 PM by Bustedknuckle - edited 1 times]

| | | Really nice work. I love a graveyard.

| | | Nah, this is in my hometown of Spencer, WV (about an hour north of Charleston.) I love old graveyards, too. They're full of history and really beautiful places, most of the time.

| | | Probably not technically abandoned, but this part of the cemetary is really not given a lot of love, either. Vandalism and time have done a lot of destruction and nobody seems too interested in fixing up the old, historic markers.

I equate old graveyards/cemeteries with UE. Who says it all needs to be private abandoned buildings.

| | | Yeah, there are other things on the site that are active/not abandoned. I think I saw a cemetary on here about the same time I joined, which is why this was my first share. But I'll take it off if it's inappropriate.

No way! It's very appropriate. If an "active infiltration" is considered UE then a cemetary definitely qualifies. Besides, there isn't any set criteria.
