Super Collider!!!

It was too dark and scary to venture down into the subterranean section. My flashlight's batteries were dead. I should think about getting one of those head lights. Anyway, enjoy.

I've got to check that place out. As close as it is to me, I've never been there.

Very cool!! Reminds me of the time I drove there at night at my clutch in my car almost went out in the creepy parking lot.

Yeah man... there are tunnels under that place like crazy. Supposedly there's a main tunnel that leads to the tunnels they were burrowing to actually build the super collider. They got about 14 miles completed before the government cut funding. But that is just what I've heard.... don't take my word on it.

I think you ate the map to keep it out of enemy hands!
Or you were just hungry.

Yeah, but at least nobody can blame us for the destruction of the universe.

For some reason, that reminds me of a time in the '90s, early Internet days, RP'ing along with my brother-in-law in a "Old West" scenario. My character was the son of the local blacksmith (actually, a foundling child that nobody else would take in). The blacksmith drank, cursed, and was prone to give the boy an old-fashioned whuppin', but down deep he loved the kid.

What really got someone upset was when he sent me to the general store to pick up a fifth of rotgut whiskey. "He can't make you do that, that's child abuse!", one girl exclaimed OOC (out of character). I guess she expected the territorial CPS to come riding into town? I wonder if she ever eventually saw the Johnny Depp version of Sweeney Todd?

Rambling much? Oops. I guess it's just strange how the "old days" were so much simpler -- there's something to be said for just not knowin' no better.
