(Viewed 516 times) Avius  Location: Washington DC / NOVA Gender: Male Wow you guys!  |  |  Discover the Secrets of Heaven... in the old city warehouse. < on 4/7/2009 2:41 PM >   I was walking around downtown Durham yesterday, when I spotted a bright green rectangle in the window of a bedraggled building. My hopes and dreams were confirmed as I neared: The words CONDEMNED STRUCTURE spelled out in bold. Yay! Once I was in, I couldn't figure out exactly what it had been used for. From the exterior, it had clearly been used as a storefront at some point, but in the last years of its inhabited life I think it was used as a warehouse- by both the city and some sort of church? Anyway, a lot of stuff was still lying around, and the mixture of church and state made for some interesting contrast. I'm rather pleased that these turned out as well as they did, considering I didn't have a tripod, and this camera has been both completely submerged on a draining expedition, and dropped down a 20ft. concrete shaft in the bowels of a water treatment plant.
