Wow you guys!
| | | Discover the Secrets of Heaven... in the old city warehouse. < on 4/7/2009 2:41 PM >
| | | I was walking around downtown Durham yesterday, when I spotted a bright green rectangle in the window of a bedraggled building. My hopes and dreams were confirmed as I neared: The words CONDEMNED STRUCTURE spelled out in bold. Yay! Once I was in, I couldn't figure out exactly what it had been used for. From the exterior, it had clearly been used as a storefront at some point, but in the last years of its inhabited life I think it was used as a warehouse- by both the city and some sort of church? Anyway, a lot of stuff was still lying around, and the mixture of church and state made for some interesting contrast. I'm rather pleased that these turned out as well as they did, considering I didn't have a tripod, and this camera has been both completely submerged on a draining expedition, and dropped down a 20ft. concrete shaft in the bowels of a water treatment plant. DiMage is not the most well-known camera company, but their product is robust! Enjoy! 1.

Thanks! I definitely had a good laugh when I saw the title on that folder. I took like 6 shots to make sure I had a good one!

| | | Great photos man! Maybe you need to keep on dropping that camera in water and down shafts. I agree with this guy up above me on #14, and so does my girlfriend. She even went so far to say she would frame that and put it up on the wall! Nicely done. Hope I run into you in some abandonment in the Raleigh area someday to get some tips!

Maybe. You never know what is possible when you are dealing with the dark and arcane powers of the OCCULT.

Thanks! Though if you ever DO run in to me in some abandonment, call my name real loud, because I'm going to be hot-footing it out of there. I have a strong fear of crack-heads and hobos, and I am therefore easily spooked.
