| | | Newly abandoned in Whitby? < on 3/31/2009 2:12 AM >
| | | Went by this place and noticed the door open and junk all around the yard. The gate is locked with two bicycle locks, at the two points of entry, but nothing stopping one from hopping over. I recall, I think last summer, having lived in Whitby, that a little old lady or couple lived there, and she planted a lot of flowers around the property. The tulips are coming up, outside the fence area, now. I've stopped there again today, and the same junk is there. Anyone know if this one is already been explored? Is it in the UE DB (I'm not a full member yet)?
I don't think I can post the street or nearest intersection, as the last time I did that it was edited and removed. [last edit 3/31/2009 2:29 AM by Skypeeper - edited 1 times]

| | | I'll try and get back in there this weekend, as this one appears "fresh". I gotta stash my van someplace out of the way, and take a hike through the place. The damn flowers in the upstairs window is calling me to come up and see if Psycho's mother is up there waiting for me... 8-)

Thanks. I was up near your house on the weekend, with the kiddies, riding around, looking for some places to explore. As I drove up Bethesda Rd, I said to my eldest.. It would be funny to stop in (if I knew for sure where your place was), and say "Oh, sorry, I thought this place was abandoned, the UE DB said it was"... LOL! Of course, if you could see my place, you'd wonder why it wasn't abandoned in the first place..

| | | Well, unless someone was exploring this place with the kitchen light on, it may not be abandoned after all! As I was driving home tonight, I drove by the place and noticed the light on in the middle of the small place. This was around 8pm. Hmmm, It doesn't look like this place is honestly lived in, in that condition, but you never know.. I saw a woman coming out to her van, from THIS place (so one never knows):

| | | Speaking of Whitby the other day I noticed a house on the North-East corner of Rossland and Garden sealed up tight with boards. It looked pretty recent.

| | | I think I used to park at this house when Sklar-Pepplar was still around. Never went in because the flower pot inside the window made me think there was a hermit in there. Fenceline did look brand new as well.
I should swing by that area again sometime.

It was recently sold, and was listed as commercial property. I figured it was going to be torn down, but maybe someone is going to renovate it.

Not much to see, unless you like black mold in the basement... it has a really cool 1950's industrial washer and dryer in the basement, though! Haven't explored it since it was boarded up, but I did know the previous tenants.

| | | Are we talking the same place here folks? This place is on Victoria St, and it is not boarded up at all. Flowers ARE still in the window up stairs. PC and monitor were siting on the lawn, by the gate, as early as last week. The only "sign" I've seen of possible activity, is a light on, in the kitchen (assumed location), when I drove by there from work, as mentioned above.

| | | I got into this place, it is completely abandoned. Neighbour is across the street so if you try to to get in please be careful. This place has a light on in the family room, don't know who goes in to turn or if it's on a timer? Easy POE but of course will not tell you how The pictures listed are not the POE either!
