|  | | | Hello all, I'm michael. I've been here for a little while, but i really haven't been able to do much, as im in college an hour and a half from rockford. But i was able to get some UE'ing in over break, and i plan to do more when i go home this weekend.
The boiler room from the rockriver valley school on kishwaukee street.
The boiler room at the school looked like it had seen a few visitors. I know, I know, that the pictures are mainly of the equipment, but what can i say, i like that stuff, and have always been fascinated by it.

| | | | if i remember the boiler inspection certificates right, it's been closed since the first part of the decade, and it was a kewanee boiler, a converted fire tube boiler. That metal thing on the other side of the gas main was an elevator at one time, which i suspected was used to bring coal in.

| | | | yeah my high school had an old elevator to bring coal down to the boiler, it to was converted to gas to save energy cost although now i believe it is the other way around. The funny thing is that I think they robed the power to it when they installed the walkin coolers because it had a sigh on the elevator door that said "Do not open door the coolers will shut down!" I always wanted to open it to see if they really would but never did.
