| | | Well, my stepdad just bought the National Geographic Backwoods Explorer C.D. Rom set. WOW. It contains maps of all 50 states with references to mine entrances, aquaducts, certain tunnels, etc. I am just learning to use this software, but I know it is more powerful than I originally thought. If any one else out there has heard of this, or has used it, or has preferences for other software, please post your thoughts and tricks for navigating these wonderful maps. As I understand it, the expansion pack contains far more data about individual cities, but I have yet to purchase it. To a Nature Explorer such as myself, this has given me invaluable data concerning sq. footage of area that roads don't seem to intersect, thus providing me with plenty to explorer.

| | | I have never heard of it, but it sounds like a pretty cool peice of software. Would probobly not be too usefull for finding many Urban sites, but would be a great help for finding rural ones I would think. You should post back how you like it once you have used it some. Do you know how much it cost?

| | | I think my stepdad got it for around $60, but I suspect it was on sale. I've found that there are a few things left out of it and I just wish I could add those to it in a database-like fashion...More later....
