If I could say it in words, I wouldn't need to photograph.

Hey Congratulations on your marriage!

Why Paris, TX?

Maybe because Google Maps kept saying "We could not calculate directions between dallas, tx and paris, france."

I'm just taking a shot in the dark, but I would venture it would be a grave yard dedicated to former carnival people...like the bearded lady, lobster man. They have a city just for them in florida so why not a grave yard. But I could be very wrong too.

I know this an old thread, but I had this urgent need to reply...

- first, congrats on the marriage!

- second, I got married in Paris, Texas, too. Our wedding was 18 years ago and cost all of $130. Man, were we poor!

- third, Paris doesn't have a "carnie" graveyard, but 30 miles north, in Hugo, is the "Showman's Rest" cemetery. This is where circus folk are buried. (I also found the grave of my English teacher near there, in the plots for regular people. She committed suicide.)

- also, Lane Frost is buried there - he's the 8 second bull rider guy. Famous in rodeo circles.

Here are some photos I took a while back:

Thanks for sharing those! I love exploring cemeteries and looking at all of the different headstones and it looks like there is a fantastic assortment there! I'm definitely going to have to put that on my list of places to check out when I eventually make it up that way.
