I wouldn't be surprised if that was true, but I havent heard about that. Aside from that, it's not really boarded up. [last edit 3/8/2009 4:55 AM by kevinblahh - edited 1 times]

| | | I think they boarded it up more because the idiot local kids from yonkers were goin there and gettin into trouble. It got sealed up pretty well for a bit and was pretty tough to get into for a short period of time. Slowly though, it seems access is opening back up again bit by bit. I'd say it was for the better, it used to be way too easy to get in there and you'd run into little yonkers wannabe gangsters who would throw shit off the upper floors and generally be annoying. Even when it was at it's most secure, there was still a way in, it was just a major pain in the ass. It was nice cause it would keep out those less determined to get in and you'd have run of the place to yourself. Meh, it'll get sealed again at some point, and then re-opened by others in an endless cycle.
"Because there's no possibility of real disaster, real risk, we're left with no chance for real salvation. Real elation. Real excitement. Joy. Discovery. Invention. The laws that keep us safe, these same laws condemn us to boredom. Without access to true chaos, we'll never have true peace. Unless everything can get worse, it won't get any better." -Chuck Palahniuk |
