Buy a little bag of kitty treats and get in the door already. If you get caught you are just trying to find the kitty you keep hearing meow. After all you don't want the poor thing locked in there to starve to death now do you? Take a few pics with even a cell phone 'cause you will never live this down if you don't.

A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.

I don't think you should do it. It's illegal and immoral. Not to mention potentially dangerous. You could really hurt yourself, you know? imeancomeonseriously.

And at last I resolved to scale that tower, fall though I might;
Since it was better to glimpse the sky and perish,
Than to live without ever beholding the day.

well now i have a new problem. looks like someone beat me to the punch. one of the 2nd floor windows has been broken open. and you can tell its from the inside out.

I saw a breathing lump under a blanket, what could it be? - 1 hobo - 2 dwarf hobos - 8 racoons - 443 rats - 896 mice or 11 rat kings?

The kitty did it and was too afraid to jump. In you go!

at the risk of sounding cliche 'nothing ventured, nothing gained' I waited to explore a place down the road from me, really cool old abandoned house, then they started to rebuild it at an astonishing fast pace so now it's useless to explore, all the old has been replaced with new. Plus there's always someone there now so I wouldn't risk it at this point, I regret not getting there sooner, so yes go see it before it's to late.

Hi, welcome to UER.

My advice is this: GO IN.

This hobby of exploring that we all love involve going in places that are normally unseen by the general public. That means that most of the places are places we probably are NOT suppose to be in, yet we go in. It's a part of the thrill for some people. It's exploring the history and lonesomeness of the place. It's seeing clues that make you feel what used to happen there or what it's previous occupants were like. It's what urban exploring is all about. Asking if you should go into an abandonment in a forum on UER is like asking the bartender if it's okay to drink beer at his bar.

Now with that being said, make sure that when you DO go in, (Because I know you will...) watch your step! Watch for rotted flooring, broken glass, spiders, animals, homeless people, and any other hazards that might be lurking, but above all have fun and take pictures!

take all these unmarked roads,
we blaze the trails to places no one goes, yeah!' -Rise Against

I second!
I think Happiedaze hit the nail on the head without being too sarcastic. I just couldn't think of a way to do it myself.

Can't say I don't find the sarcasm hilarious though.

June 1, 2002 -- Charlie White photographs vulnerability.

Using a humanoid puppet he calls "complete fragility manifest in a body," White presents human frailty through a fictional character, much as a novelist might.

As White tells Jacki Lyden for Weekend All Things Considered, his puppet, called Joshua, helps him to explore the themes of male self-image and self-loathing. White places Joshua in a series of vulnerable situations -- at a cocktail party or a lover's house -- and photographs the scene.

His photographs are currently on display at the Orange County Museum of Art in Newport Beach, California.

Given I'm working right now lying in bed under the covers with the heater on blasting 8bit tunes (sabrepulse if anyone cares), there's pretty much nothing not safe for work

the rest of the set is massively disappointing, but cheers cap'n.

Doesn't seem so freaky once you get the rationale, either. Mystery gone.

Not to worry, there will be more freaky shit. The 'net always provides

I am going to have the worst nightmares after seeing that image. Very interesting body of work, though.
