This "Art & Seek" blog entry at KERA.org explains a question I had: why is there an entire park with cool water features decaying quietly in the Western sun?

Fort Worth’s Endangered Heritage Plaza

"... it’s been neglected, has structural issues that make it unsafe, and is closed. Fort Worth Assistant City Manager Fernando Costa says Heritage Plaza is considered one of the finest examples of modernist landscape design in the U.S. Costa says it has an important future as part of the large Trinity Uptown project."

Fort Worth is pretty good at taking care of historic stuff. The article notes that it'll take about $7 million to put things back together, but the Bass family leaves that much in their pockets at the dry cleaners. If you prefer your historic landmarks fenced-off and gently corroding, better take a peek now.

J'ai toujours fait une prière à Dieu, qui est fort courte.
La voici: "Mon Dieu, rendez nos ennemis bien ridicules!"
Dieu m'a exaucé.
