Was driving through Pitcher, OK and came across this abandoned gas station. Only had time to take a few pictures. Which one do you all like better?

Color

Black & White

The contrast of the second is great, but it seems a little blown out in some areas.

The color looks okay, I love the reflection on the sunset on the wall...

I'd go with the black and white.

i say the first one...the warm tones give it that almost inviting "open road" feel....maybe just bump the contrast and saturation up a little =]

imo there is not enough definition between darks and lights in the b&w

p.s. i like the angle

I like the colored one due to the detail of the sky. The framing in my opinion works well for it.

But in the B&W, the detail of the sky is lost. Therefore is it less relevant (again my opinion only). I think a slightly tighter crop on the B&W would make it more competitive with the color version.

But as is, I think the color is stronger.

I agree, the colour one has a lot more texture that isn't lost. The light on the building is nice.

You and me will all go down in history, with a sad Statue of Liberty, and a generation that didn't agree.

I am not much of a photographer, but I definitely like looking at the colour one better. (Not that it's not appealing and black & white).

The colour does serve to distinguish the building from the background - in the black and white, that seems to get lost a bit. The colour isn't awfully attractive though.

Could you try another B&W conversion that perhaps darkens the sky, so the building keeps some of its prominence?

I like the color one more
The black and white one is way to contrasty for my tastes. However, I do agree that the colors aren't amazing in the first. I still like it though.
