| | | | Exploration videos? < on 2/3/2009 6:37 PM >
| | | Are there any actually decent UE videos? I have never seen a solid one that actually documents the place well, it seems that they are all done by idiots with 8mm cameras or paranormal asshats. They are all mostly painful to watch. Who can share some that aren't?

| | | These are by far the best I've seen. I love the use of lighting and timelapse. You have lots of really awesome shots in the papermill video. 1:40, 2:10, 2:25, and 3:40 are spectacular [last edit 2/3/2009 7:21 PM by willskith - edited 1 times]

I never implied that I could do better. It is a difficult medium, no doubt about it, but I wanted to see examples of it being done well, because most things I have seen are either like the videos in the link Navi posted or the link Don posted. They aren't particularly well done and don't hold my attention. They are mostly shaky shots of nothing or documentaries about morons looking for orbs. Those videos by fiftyone_eggs are the first ones I have watched that havent made me feel the need to fast forward through. I am contemplating trying to shoot some video at some point, but the majority of the videos I have seen offer no real inspiration. So far almost everything I have watched just gives me insight on what not to do.

| | | Although my videos have been plugged in by others far more than I plug them in, I suppose I will throw this in. No one plugs in THESE sorts of videos of mine...as they are of a GENERAL nature....rather than having to shriek from the wilderness. That is to say.......this could be a little dull...it's a slideshow of mostly recent explorations...but a few from a couple years ago. Basically, it's a tribute to Bob Dylan. He runs thru my mind on Lone explorations a lot. I sure wish we didn't compete so much. I was caught masturbating in an abandonment in Los Angeles once...singing Mister Tambourine Man to Beat the band.,...I just assumed no one would ever be there, since I LIVED there when I didn't have a TRICK that made me stay the night. There was some large piece of equipment that was still in a box...I would pull it in front of this unDOORED closet and sleep in there. It wasn't like YANKING was my USUAl thing there, as I...um,...sold that......but this construction worker poked head over the box and wrecked me up good one morning. That must have been when I knew those Speed people, and around the time I shat blood behind a dumpster. That was a long time ago. I was young. You had to pay to get pictures developed then. What an amazing world. I might look that building up on Maps now. It was across the street from Fat burgers on Santa Monica Blvd. And even after the rehab began I still lived in the dumpster area for months. No food trash. And the door locked, it's just that the door didn't go all the way to the ceiling. So you stepped on the doorknob., and climbed over. It was central to everything, and yet secure. That area was connected to Another building...and ONE time they left a door open, and I was able to sleep in a very weirdly...long...shaped bathroom With toilet paper. A tour for owners or buyers was given in the morning, and I sat in terror on the other side of the locked door. Trapped. Amongst the confusion I heard someone saying "Jimmy said it would be unlocked". And there I sat,,,,,,,,a total young male prostitute Trapped....hoping this would blow over. And it did. But that wasn't always the case. HOWEVER,.........the point is.......I lived in that place for months......from place to place in it as it changed.....but it was as SECURE as I could get. AND: I sang Dylan songs to myself IN it: and so: http://www.youtube...ature=channel_page
