Cheers.
Me and a mate went on a fieldtrip to an old military air base that has not been used for anything but practicing repairs on bombed air strips for a long time. During the second world war a number of air crafts, both from the allies and Germany, made emergency landings on this base. Sweden being neutral and all. :\
Next to the landing strips a couple of old SAAB 35 Draken, and some other junk, is standing and those were the reason we went there even though the landing strips with an insane amount of holes and temporary repairs done to them were really cool as well.

Thanks. Its easy to get cool pictures at a location like that. To bad the weather was so bad, everything looks kind of grey but what can you do about it?

Well, not all of them actually. On pictures 3, 4 and 6 you see some SAAB 35 Draken, the one on picture 5 is a SAAB 105 Florette.

Thanks.
We have used different versions of the three crowns is Sweden since the fourteenth century so it not only the Swedish Air Force and our national hockey team that uses it. ;)

Hahahaha, yeah I figured as much, it's just that I picture Forsberg or Sundin skating whenever I see those crowns

What is in pic 2 ?

Unless i am mistaken that is the fuselage of the French SS11 anti-tank missile (called RoBotSystem52 in Sweden). This weapons system was introduced in the Swedish military in the fifties and even though it was out of date in the seventies we kept it in active duty until the nineties when it was replaced by the American AGM-114C (aka. Hellfire, in Sweden we call it RoBotSystem17 and it is still in use by our amphibian forces).

WOW, a real jet, could you get inside it?

We could have climbed into one of the Drakens but it didn't even occur to us to do it. Falling down and breaking a leg would not have been pleasant.
The Florette would have been no problem getting into but the cockpit was pretty stripped down and the chair was gone.
