| | | I really like the second picture. The color really makes it pop out.

| | | I also like the 2nd one agree with the popping color. The tone in the first one seems off to me. It's like it's not B&W but some strange hybrid that I can't put my finger on. Also, that telephone pole in the first one seems really soft/blurry compared to the 2nd one. Also a lot of detail relating to the different shade of brick is lost in the first compared to the second. So I have to totally go with #2 on this one. On a side note: I thought this was Rochester, NY for a sec and I got really excited.

| | | The second shot is indeed superior, but when you next find the chance (and/or the weather hits 0F or more), keep moving to the right to see if you can't get a shot without as many distracting telephone poll/wire elements. Very nice sky, a B&W with clouds/dark IR type sky would work well.

| | | the second shot without a doubt! the mix of deep purple/blue in the sky with the red of the bricks and the yellowish tones in the roadway make for a much more striking image. compositionally, and i know it was shot from your car window, but the shot would be that much stronger with less of the cargo trailer on the left side and more of the granary on the right. i likes it.

| | | I like the second one. The colors are nice but I wish the trailer wasn't in the shot. I agree that you should go back and re-shoot this a little to the right so maybe that pole isn't in the way. But other than that everything looks pretty cool.

the sky does stand out more, but only slightly more to me. the colours in the second shot are just popping out and the palette is just beautiful i think. much more striking to me.
