Demolished? Not Exactly...
< on 1/18/2009 1:02 AM >

Met up with cereal83 and his buddy Shawn (Sean? Shaun?) to see a couple of places. The first one is in the db where it's listed as "demolished". News of its demise is greatly exaggerated (ok, yeah I know there used to be buildings 1-8).

1. Building #9 (of 1)

2. Gym

3. Blow Me (aka Curtains)

4. The Roof (aka Hey, It's Fucking Cold Up Here)

5. Economic Commentary

6. Litericy Literacy 101

7. Rock Meets Window

8. HVAC

9. End of the Line

Thanks! The only one I punched up a bit was #1. The rest are as I shot them.

Actually it was part of a Kodak plant. I assume the gym was for employees? There were originally at least 9 buildings on the property. They've all been torn down except for this one.

I'm glad the remaining Kodak building is still there. Here's a photo I took in May, 2008:

Anyone know what that Busted Bank of Bustville $1000 note is from? I just Googled it and only one hit comes up: someone asking the same question to a boardgame forum. Apparently it even stumped their forums, suggesting it's not from a game. Any ideas?

Doors Open Toronto is this weekend? Oh, naw, I was there last weekend.

Here are some of my pics. This place was cool and it was nice to see something that was still standing.

Pretty hilarious pictures and comments. It looks like an awesome location, very far from being demolished.

Massive amount of light in #3. During our last visit there, this area was quite dark.

Great sets guys. If you go back, in warmer weather....let me know!

You and me will all go down in history, with a sad Statue of Liberty, and a generation that didn't agree.

It was cold but as long as you dressed properly, you would be fine.

On number 7.
A rock wouldn't do that kind of damage to that glass. If you notice the wire in the glass that keeps it from shattering is broken or torn away. That would be a bullet that caused that hole.
Is it in a bad neighborhood?

There is no problem that cannot be solved by the suitable application of explosives.

I thought as much. Yeah it's quite near an area widely considered to be one of the worst in the city.

There were many more of them too.
