Trains, Ships, and of course Pipes!

Thankfully Port Authority didn't catch us here.. Was around this area a few years ago and we actually made it onto the ships. This time however there were still workers them. I checked it out the night before on my own but didn't leave my car because it was too cold! The next night I brought Stewie and we found some pretty neat stuff. Gotta do more climbing the next time

An alarming amount of massive cylindrical objects! Ha, other than that it looks nice, too bad you couldn't get on the ships though. One day...

Thanks everyone! Hopefully next time I will have more pics of the ships and from above the cylinder things. I am not sure what is in them but each of them have a hole(that has a cover but the covers were all removed) that is about the size of a manhole so you can go inside them. We looked and there was just some more piping going across along the bottom and the rest of it was empty. There were noticeable fumes so we didn't actually go inside them, some sort of gas was definitely passing through the pipes.

Fumes from roof tops: acceptable. Fumes from huge cylinder things: not so much...

Probably chemicals, since that place is a chemical plant

Keep it fuzzy.

Hahaha thanks! We didn't go close enough to the trucks to see whether the labels were for liquid or gas, so I kind of just assumed gas based on the smell. We also weren't sure exactly what plant this was a part of, as the neighboring plant had signs but different trucks.

wow love that place it looks like wicked place to wonder around. I dident notice any plackards on the train cars, so they would most likly not be full of chemicals, but it is very possible that they were at some point, or just have been drained. There liquid halling cars, just could be chemical or not. I wouldent go diving in to one . I just bought an olympus 1030 sw and i havent had much time to get any good shots, and yours look great!!

Thanks! It's actually more of like a storage facility for chemicals etc. I was able to find a map that listed the businesses in the area. And yes it really is a wicked place to wander around, especially if you like trains or ships Theres a number of other facilities and businesses in the area, just gotta keep an eye out for security.

Post by Rickie Deeshit eh well those are very nice pictures for a regular digicam!

I thought it was interesting that any of the train cars were labeled at all (Golden Peanut Company and "vegetable oil")...I honestly don't think I've ever seen things like that in my life. Thanks for the gallery!
