| | Mostly vacant mall in Indianapolis < on 1/5/2009 12:55 AM >
| | | I have some pictures of a mall that's close to me. I was just tooling around one day and thought I might snap some photos of it. This place started out as the County Line Mall, on the southern edge of Indianapolis. I am not for sure how many tenants it accommodated, it looked to be fairly small. This person's website entry provides some detailed info on it, http://www.labelsc...a/county-line-mall Since then, it has never really took off. Nothing really super interesting, it's just interesting to see the old, abandoned parts of it. It makes me wonder, if there was one end of it left mostly unchanged, why evict the stores occupying that area? It seems like if they were holding their own, then that's money coming in as rent. Make the businesses leave, and there goes that money. See the floors with the red and star tiles? That is the original mall floors. I made a mistake and deleted the photo of the south hallway, which is original width and has store space facing in. I will have to go and re-take the pic. Enjoy the photos, I will be interested to hear what you have to say.

| | | Last I heard, County Line was totally empty. Even heard that when the Marines were in town doing training exercises they stayed there for a few. Either I was wrong or got it mixed up with somewhere else.
