| | Monite Waterproof Glue Co. (Mpls) < on 12/29/2008 6:52 PM >
| | | This 1920s building was once the location of the Monite Waterproof Glue Company. My friend and I encountered this building while looking for potential sites in North Minneapolis. The building is 88 years old. The floors are collapsing and therefore our exploration was taken with a great deal of care. We restricted ourselves to the basement and did not venture to the ground or upper floors.
Side Note: There is a nearby "voted best strip club" that I have always wanted to visit. However, the annual murders, muggings, and parking lot beatings have thus far deterred me. I would welcome any fellow Mpls explorers to join us on an exploration and then end the night, one way or another, at this club.

| | | The photo of the little go cart (for lack of better terminology...) is especially interesting. Looking at the back of it, the thing almost looks like a modified 1955 Chevy

| | | I'm pretty sure I know which gentleman's club you're referring to. That whole area seems run down, nice find. as a side note, I heard they're finally demo'ing the Lowry bridge. Hope you got a chance to run around it in its abandoned state, because there aren't too many bridges like it anymore.

| | | Excellent bridge. I'm learning I have an interest in bridges I never knew I had before. Such as this one: http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=26667

That is actually the Hennepin Avenue Bridge but no worries because I love that bridge.

Thanks for the heads-up: I still recall the unique/weird vibrations and noise whenever I drove over the bridge. I will definitely go back to give it a final crossing before they destroy it forever.

Some friends went there and confirmed my suspicion that the club is pretty awful and it's likely that the people "voting" were the owner and his friends.
