Indecisiveness...
< on 12/28/2008 6:28 AM >

I took the first shot at sundown, and got that great warm sunset lighting. In the time it took me to reorient my camera to try a vertical shot of it, the warm light was completely gone, making it a completely different shot. I like them both, but for completely different reasons, so I cant choose which looks better. Opinions?

Warm

or

Cold?

Both good shots, but I like #1 a lot better The warm light shining on the wall adds some nice contrast. What camera did you use?

I agree....I like both, but the first one gives an opposite feel to what we are seeing.

Yea, the warmth of the sunshine contradicts the stark reality of the room. Also the #2 shot has more content, i.e. the (again stark) overhead light, which is missing from the first shot. Still both good stuff tho.

Warm -- it gives the wall with the sunlight an added dimension.

After seeing the first one, there's no reason to choose the second one, just because it looks like a cropped version of the first one.

I like the second one for the composition and the first one for the lighting.

I like the color in the cold light but, the I like the horizontal shot better with the light from the window on the wall.

cold is better, but im really bothered by how dark the bottom left corner is. also, the molding bottom right could have ended in that corner, but that just an obsessive behavior thing of mine.

I also like #1 for the warmth and #2 for the comp. Oh no it's looking like a tie!
