Northern State Hospital questions

Hey everyone, My friends and I have always been interested in checking out the Northern State Hospital over in Sedro-Woolley but regardless of countless searches on the internet I have not been able to compile a decent amount of information on it. There is quite a bit of the history that can be found but as far as how much of it stands, the ins and outs of getting there, and the right people to contact in order to check the place out is very minimal. Most of what I have managed to find is information from 3 or 4 years ago and I don't really want to go off of that.

I have also heard you can contact the State of Washington to get permission to be there if you are planning on filming on the property (which is something that we are also interested in). At any rate, any up to date information anyone may have is really appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Maybe you should try contacting the local PD or the state. They should be able to help you.

You can also check city records to find out who owns the hospital.

Yeah the PD shouldn't be a bad idea. My understanding is that Job Corps owns the building/area so checking with them is probably a must!

That shit's all gone, all the buildings are either in use or demoed. The dairy farm's kind of cool but it's a park.

never know until you go

That's what I was afraid of. I had heard some rumors of it being demolished but wanted to confirm before taking a trek up there. The buildings that are in fact still in use maybe interesting but probably not as exciting as the now destroyed abandoned ones.

This is a big joke right?
When will newer members learn to ignore nasty rumors?
Never I suspect.
Son - get up there and explore it.

Yep our plan is to explore of course but nobody would want to go all the way there and find out there is absolutely nothing left. Thanks everyone for your info!
