TULSA OKLAHOMA. New exploration group forming.

I, and another, are brand new to this site. We have seen several people from this area on here who share our delight for peaceful trespassing and seeing what others do not. We have decided to form a group or club or team or whatever in this area to explore areas in Tulsa and the surrounding area. We have not yet come up with a name, but we are interested in all inquiries. We hope to make our 'team' the coolest one in the country. Like some of the others, we will incorporate a cool name, a cool logo, cool nicknames, cool missions, and other cool stuff as we think of it. I suppose once we get our name established we will put up a myspace page or something, so others can see what we've been up to. Nothing incriminating, naturally.
I, myself, have done some really interesting exploring of old houses out in the country lately, but do not have a camera so photos prove difficult. We already have several places in mind, but will need more than the two we have so far for our coordination effort.
If you are interested in seeing hidden shit and are curious about being a part of this underground phenomenon, please go to my my space profile and read my blog and leave messages. Once we get together and move as one, we should be able to see some really, do I dare say it again?, 'cool shit'. We are also interested in incorporating some haunted places or ghost hunting into our group, as we've been to several creepy-ass places already.
So please contact me and be a part of this madness called urban exploring. And be thinking of a cool name for our group.

or type dying sight and search under 'people'. I'm 'Chapman'.

There is no newsletter as of yet. But eventually, once our 'team' is a little more established. I was hoping to put together a myspace page for us.
As for our name, one suggestion was:

This Hidden Earth. or T.H.E.

We'll see, I guess. Most of the ones we've thought of so far have been pretty weak.

Speaking as the nominal herder of the DFW cats (hey! this Saturday! please?), I wish you the best of luck. I'm originally from Tulsa, and fondly remember my explorations in the early 1980s... the successful ones, and the time I got caught on top of the building next to the round one.

that depends what you mean by 'hot'. but that doesn't really matter because if you're in tulsa a lot you probably know that there's not a lot up here that's 'hot'. even though I will say that there are a lot of places in this area that are old or abandoned or both.
unfortunately, haven't had the opportunity to explore many of them.
But hopefully that can change soon.

RobertB I think you got caught on top of my old apartment building. I also worked for a while in the University Club. Managed to get into the remains of the restaurant on the 31st floor once. Not much to see up there contrary to popular belief I don't think it ever rotated.

Initially, I had given very little thought to the notion of a newsletter. But my partner and I decided that a newsletter might be just another cool thing we can add to our team. Especially since everything these days is online, we thought we'd establish ourselves as the first team to have an old-fashioned, mailed-out newsletter. So once we're up and running and exploring and decompressing after another well-planned and well-executed mission, we will start putting it together.
Like I've already said though, we are just in the early stages of this plan. Hell, we don't even have a name yet. But once I get enough responses, I'll put together a meeting at some bar downtown and we can discuss our plan to rip open every hidden spot in this city. ('rip open' symbolically, I mean).

I hope so Azubi, but I would imagine there would be like a $19.95 subscription cost, you know, like they send out in publishers clearing house things?

All of you people who are looking at these Mingo School..... join me in the cause.
So contact me immediately so we can band together and form the coolest UE team in the country... nope, IN THE WORLD!!!!!

We'll have pie after every mission.

and beer.

Ok. Enough already of the new group recruitment. It was cute in the beginning, but I'm finding posts like this all over the site. In fact, of the 6 posts you've made so far, all of them but one are nothing but a commercial for the greatest new group on the planet.

There's nothing wrong with hooking up with other explorers in your area. In fact I encourage it. But we already have the best explorers in the world as members of this site and I'm sure some of them would explore with you, if you just chill out and show us what you've already done. Theres not a lot going on in Oklahoma and I'd like to see more, but you're not going to get members of the south UER group to get involved with you if you keep this up.

You said in one of your posts that your group had already explored some really cool houses "creepy places", so let's see some of the pictures. Thats how you establish credibility on this site and get others interested in exploring with you.

I made a mistake. Undead said creepy places, not houses. This is a quote from the Rookie Forum - "We've already been to some creepy places and would love to seek out more".

So to correct myself, let's see some pictures of some of these creepy places.
