Hi Names brian New To UER. Im a Film maker and Photographer, and I have a film coming up in the spring that Im hoping to get a jump on. What Im hoping for some help with is Im looking for some feed back for someone who would be able to help me with some scene scouting, either via UER, there knowledge of the area michigan, from Yippsi-Manistee. Im looking for at least 2 spots that are going to be easy access for equipment, crew, and cast, for periods of time. And im looking for industrial and or farm houses. If you have any ideas please shoot them my way. IM browsing the site often and putting places to go look at. But It would be great if anyone would be interested in helping or knew of some place to try to begin with. I live in Muskegon so Between me north, south or east, of me all work. I work on no budget besides film, corn syrup, and makeup, and small props. People are what I need, Please let me know if you have any ideas. Or thoughts.

Brian.

zombie apocalypse movie?

If you want to protect the locations you love to explore, don't talk about them online in public!
If you want to make exploring friends, send people private messages! Meet up in real life! Get off the internet!
Don't try to have a UER e-penis! You won't impress anyone! This especially means you, Minneapolis MN newbies!

Dark Action movie, involves some scenes where a mans tied up in a room an exscape's from a building? Farm house? and then there's a showdown and I really like to have that done in a old building so that I can do some open shooting shots,

Well, I live right within Detroit so, as you can imagine, we have plenty of locations of varying usefulness for your purpose.
There is a school that I have explored several times that is located just off of a busy free way. It isn't what I would call 'secluded', however the noise from the nearby traffic would pretty much block out any sort of noise created within the structure. Also, there is an abandoned funeral home only a few blocks from my home that is very easy to enter and also near some busy/noisy
roadway. There is also an abandoned factory right next door to the home.
Feel free to PM me if you want more details. I've been in these (and other) locations several times so I might be able to assist.

These I maybe interested in checking out, the noise of no factor, it may add some effect to the scene. I will be heading out to look at place in the spring as you can imagine that with winter coming heading out with heavy camera equipment is bother in the cold its like camera you have to aclamate it to the temp, but theres a little more involved with the 35mm adapter I have attached to my camera. I could always go with out it to get test footage but i want to get what it would like for the possible scenes for the short. Thanks for the info. I deff will be in contact. Muskegon is a bit of a drive from d-town but I dont have a prob with having to go across the state to get a possible great shot. Any more info from anyone else please keep it coming would like to have a good line up of places to check out in the spring. Keeping in mind easy access, and not having to worry about being kicked out by owners or police. Thanks.

That I wish I did, I have just come into money and finshed buying my film equipment. Though I have attended film school it was mostly for editing, and I dont have any of that work. I left most if not all of it behind when I dropped out of the Illinois Inst. Of Art. I have some work that I've been doing With some skateboarders around west michigan. But it doesnt reflect what I intend to do with this new project and the equipment I bought for it. Im shooting in 35mm digital film and this will be my first project besides learning how to do it around town and the house. I can very welll put some things together and put up some clips. Along with my hardware and equipment on a website. Intentions are very good looking for someone to work with, or to meet with in the near future about looking for spots to shoot. I also would like to get out as soon as possible with someone with just a camera and start looking I guess I dont need to film. So if someone is in the GR, muskegon, area, and wants to help out with my project I will inform you more and we can go from there.

He ADMITTED that he's a cop. I can only assume that he must have done it to try and get around the legal requirement that he identifies himself, but he must have thought that we would miss that in his post.

This is what I work with, I doubt any cop on there off days, or on days would take the time to sink there pay checks into this type of stuff. If any of you think Im not serious about what Im doing Well then thats your loss. Im looking for someone who wants to be apart of a movie that may be a decent flick.

Don't worry. I'm not a cop either. Would any cop spend their free time collecting tactical nukes?

But seriously. Relax. Just don't have an attitude. You can't come into a place that is inherently untrusting of new people and cop an attitude.

Wait... Did I say cop?

Nice gear list, sounds like you can afford to pay someone on here for their help, instead of you know... asking us to bolster your career prospects for nothing.

I dont get it, This is one of the worst forums I've ever been on as far as it goes for people reaching out and interacting with one another, Im being called a cop, told that because i have built a studio over the past 6 years I should pay people, when Im doing this on no budget. If I didnt want to use the resource's that this website provided I'd delete my account because of how rude some of you are. Thanks for making a person feel welcome.
