| | | There appear to be a ton of fresh abandonments in the area. There are new subdivision signs all over the place, suggesting that opportunities to explore may be limited. In addition to this one http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&threadid=61158, I gained entry to 2 of the 4 places I visited today. First up, an older place with some fire damage but surprisingly no vandalism except for what the raccoons have effected. 1. Exterior
2. Upstairs
3. View through shards
4. Kitchen
5. Burnt ceiling fan with nest
6. No thanks, I already ate
7. Blackened and bubbled
The second property was significantly bigger: three stories turned into three apartments. This is a recent abandonment and it was pristine. I walked almost completely around the perimeter, convinced that I wouldn't get in. In reality though, it couldn't have been easier.
8. A beauty in her day
9. Third floor
10. But the cupboards were bare
11. Upstairs
12. Artsy stairway shot
13. Bathtub
14. For a good time call "Cheese Cake"

| | | I called the cheese cake hotline but no one answered. Nice ones. The untouched one looks great - but I wonder how long it'll take before the vandals arrive.

| | | Those are awesome shots. I really like #2 and 3, they go well together, and the light is great.
You and me will all go down in history, with a sad Statue of Liberty, and a generation that didn't agree. |

#1 or #2? Edit: Duh, read the post completely before responding. Yeah, it was a very nice house. You look across the fields and know there are hundreds of new homes coming. It is kind of sad. [last edit 11/4/2008 3:28 AM by rob.i.am - edited 1 times]
