So my boyfriend is a filmmaker...and he filmed something at this amazing abandoned site that I (of course...with my trained eye) scouted out. I snapped a few pictures of the interior and exterior during filming..it's a grouping of various abandoned buildings...two large houses and two very large barns as well as a lot of abandoned property. I'll post what I have right now on my current computer! Enjoy!! If you want to know the location, PM me..it's DEFINITELY worth looking it..VERY easily accessible and soon to be torn down!

There is a pickering mansion? Really ummm. I have to google that!

Looking at the pics of this Aurora hosue, I think I know where this is actually. Seems to be right on a major road.

I will have to check it out very soon!

Yeah I did!! The rest of my "team" didn't though..they were busy filming...but I wandered over and went inside, it smelled really strongly of wet dog!! LoL..and there was dog hair everywhere embedded in the carpets .. really moldy too. Nothing near as cool and grand as the first house. The property is what amazes me though...a little broken treehouse...weird sheds hiding in the woods...an old above ground pool plot..it's a great trip.

They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn!

my best advice would be stay away from the pickering mansion. A friend of mine lives like 10 minutes away from there and drives past it every day on his way home from school. he says he's been noticing a LOT of traffic going through there lately, like several cars a day...some of them are nice cars like benz's and a white escalade on dubs (go figure)....now whether these are scrappers, vandals, concerned neighbors, fellow explorers or...uh-oh...the owner of the place who finally got out of prison....I dont know...but in either case, I think I'd stay well clear. Besides...all of the cool stuff has been stolen or broken anyways....I mean theres a jacuzzi tub full of moldy vomit, a smashed chandelier in a back room and a mattress covered in black mold...otherwise its just pretty empty and very thoroughly vandalized...sad really.
and if it is the owner finally coming back, I can only imagine he'd be VERY fucking upset at just about anyone he caught inside that place right about now...
just my $0.02

nice set btw...sorry for getting off topic.

Umm How long has the place been abandoned for? I really want to check it out. It looks so big from the sky. Why would anybody just drop a place like that?

I know when people say stay away, people should stay away but I think I will check it out and see if anybody is there, if not, I will go inside and take a few pics.

Anybody have a pic of this place?

Unfortunately not really..however you can safely walk out onto the roof patio of the larger house, and there is a stunning view mixed with the broken down areas surrounding the house. And a few windows with paintball holes in them that create a very cool effect.

you can pretty much do an "aurora tour of homes". its pretty brutal, the suburban sprawl is getting _really_ bad.

Thanks, Tamzie... I am obsessed with the old windows and walls and broken pieces of furniture lately...

I haven't been down to Aurora in ages, I guess I had better go before they tear it down and pave the rest of it over...
