| | | It was demolished perhaps three years ago. I haven't seen any photos from that location. http://bcmi.client...m2/breakingout.htm I went to visit both that jail and the one in Guelph and found only vacant lots. The ORC in Guelph is still around, but has active security and is often used for movie shoots. http://www.canadia....com/orpatches.htm Burtch in Brantford is also still around.

| | | Umm I found this
----- (Oct 24, 2007) Ontario will demolish an old jail on Brant County lands it gave to Six Nations to help resolve the Caledonia standoff. ----- Is it still around?

| | | I tried some 'legal' channels to gain access to the Guelph facility . . . no joy. I suggest baiting the rent-a-tard with rainbow-sprinkle doughnuts and slipping in.

You didn't miss a whole lot at the Wellington Detention Centre (the one that was by Guelph). When I was there demolition had already started. While it was interesting to see the cells the entire place, even when abandoned, was so sterile and devoid of character. [last edit 10/24/2008 8:07 PM by manitou - edited 1 times]

But watch out for the Durham Regional Police ETF Unit that uses the building for training.

| | | While I do think they could train in there, I don't think it would be safe to. Too much broken glass etc but the grass is kept short so maybe they train out there

| | | You're not the most observant explorer are you? There's empty bullet casings throughout the buildings from the police training.
Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you. |
