Last Update: 9/30 12:20 pm A fire is under control in an abandoned building that was formerly part of the Rosewood State Hospital. Fire Division Chief Michael Robinson says crews battled the fire from the ground and the air, but took a defensive posture because they knew the building was abandoned. The two and a half story building was completely destroyed in the fire, but Robinson says its too early to determine a cause. The closure of the Rosewood Center was a huge controversy, but Robinson says it is too early to rule arson in or out as a possible cause. He says its also possible workers who were dismantling the building, to prepare it to be torn down, may have triggored something that sparked the fire.
