I tried a different processing style here then I've ever used before, tried to get a crossprocessing look about it. At least it's something different. I'll post more from this place, along with the full story in the photo section later, but wanted to get some critique on the processing here.

1. Boring

2. Control

3. Crash

4. Don't Fall

5. Hooked

6. Time

I'm being dead honest here (for what it's worth).

A) It's never sunny in Philadelphia

1,4,6) To me the saturation is too strong here. I didn't mind it in #1 as much because there are lots of different colors, but in 4 and 6 some things stick out like the metal on the right side of #4 and all the metal in #6. Then after looking at 4/6, going back to 1 again it results in my eyes bleeding. #1 looks like an HDR done by someone new to it with too mush saturation. Though it looks like there are a lot of different colors in that shot and I bet there are more interesting ways you could bring them out, but not to strongly.

2&3) If you used the same method in these two shots as you did in the above ones, I really like how they came out. It's a lot less subtle. I really like #2.

5) I like this one.

Not regarding the post processing, I love what you've captured in numbers 1, 2, 4, and 5. Those are very nice.

Hope this helps and sorry you got stuck with me critiquing you

I like how this post processing worked. Its interesting. I think the first two are my favorites. It looks like you were looking to have the background out of focus in #3, but I think it would have been better if you had used a smaller aperture. Otherwise the picture is somewhat uninteresting. I'd like to be able to see more of it.

in 1,4 and 6 i think if you turn down the saturation a bit it works fine! Maybe not even saturation but just the red and blue channel.

did you also sharpen these?

thanks everyone for the critiques.

Martino, yes i sharpened them.

i also didn't tweak saturation, it must be a side effect from playing with the RGB curves a bit too much.

i basically just followed the quick guide from here http://www.layersm...ss-processing.html to try out getting a cross processed look. now i need to play more with CS3 to work some of these things out to make things not so over saturated.

willskith, after looking at that shot again, you're right i should have either went wide open on the aperture or much smalled to get more of it in focus. i have a tendency to get stuck on using f/5.6, i need to switch it up a little bit.

i'd like to see 'em without sharpening - they can take some stronger saturation too.

I really like number 2
