| | | not a lot going on in GR, there is the hospital in K-zoo, that is ok to check out. There is a motel to check out also, I have lived in the area for 9 years, not a lot to explore around here. There are a few things up by Baldwin, but again nothing too special. You wanna go sometime, email me at [email protected]

Yeah there are some abandoned places in GR but they're the kind of places you don't want to be with a camera. Or even nice shoes. That being said, yes, there are tons of farmhouses about but that's not really GR ;) If you head down to the small town that is known for Amway, there are a lot of little houses that are abandoned in the fields, but it's about 20 minutes away from the Alpine area and a lot of hiking. But there is a nice reservoir and lots of salamanders and box turtles on the way L

| | | I live in the West Michigan area, but not as near to Grand Rapids so maybe i am missing something, but it seems like Grand Rapids does not have a lot of abandonments for a city of its size. Maybe its because its a little more economically successful. Also, some of my explorations of industrial buildings in the West Michigan / Southwest Michigan area come from smaller towns that have large factories. One city I have not looked around a lot: Muskegon... I wonder if it might offer something. [last edit 10/24/2008 12:20 AM by pcnate - edited 1 times]

| | | One word to all you people who think there's not a lot going on in GR: Heartside. And another thing... the best way in is usually from above. Get busy guy.
