Back in 93 or so, I came across this old ballroom, named the Poplar Ballroom. The was comprised of three buildings; a bar, the ballroom and a back bar. The later two were joined via tunnel. Also interesting was that the location- a road heavily traveled at one time, but not too close to the city. At the time I old had a old camera, and took one photo since long lost. It was a photo of the stage, with old upright piano and microphone. Jump to 2005, and being in the area, I decided to see if I could find the place. After having no luck, I stopped at a tavern for lunch. Seeing how I was the only person, I was able strike a conversation with the bartender. It appears that there were lots of ballrooms in the area, some demolished and some maybe left to be discovered. Upon going to the location, I figured this couldn't be the place, that was until I check out this building: It was the back bar, the only thing left standing. The back bar was two rooms, each with a long bar in it.
