With AV's new picture uploader, I can throw out this assortment of pictures from a long-abandoned gas station at one of the junctions of Interstate 45 and old US 75, now demoted to a state highway.

When I-45 was built, you can tell that the designers assumed that US 75, then the artery between Dallas and Houston, would remain an important route. That's why you have those crazy left exits for the road, now signed "Business I-45" in Corsicana and Ennis. But the old route became an afterthought, and any business that expected traffic to divert from the sleek new Interstate withered and died.

Just a handful of pictures, and not much story. I started hearing voices after I made my first pass, so I got back in my road and continued my trip to the beach. (Did I continue hearing voices afterward? I'll never tell -- they'd be upset if I did...)

Pictures 1-5: "Clean Restrooms"

Picture 6: "Tropical Island"

Pictures 7-8: Going around the side to what may have been a conversion from a garage to a restaurant area?

Pictures 9-11 (inside the "restaurant"): Reading the Writing on the Wall. For a guy looking for sex in an abandoned gas station, he's awfully picky.

Picture 12: I guess he got what he came for. Ew.

J'ai toujours fait une prière à Dieu, qui est fort courte.
La voici: "Mon Dieu, rendez nos ennemis bien ridicules!"
Dieu m'a exaucé.

So by reading that, if my college English is worth it's money, then his fantasy lover could be a cop, or a gay hater, but could not be both, and could not love blow jobs.....

Hmmm, but that is what he/she said.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools speak because they have to say something.

Wow... how weird. That looks like its for real too, not just the usual stupid writing.

Just think of how many people are wasting their time posting on CraigsList.
