| | | Out for lunch < on 9/2/2008 9:51 PM >
| | | I decided to take a quick run by this house on my lunch break. Due to A) Time constraints and B) Noon, proximity to road & traffic, I opted to stay in my vehicle, grab a couple quick shots through the only hole in the foliage I could find and plan a return visit. Let me know what you think of #2. 1. I took notice of the chimney all over the roof and the gaping hole in the rear roof (hard to tell from the smaller photo). It's probably a mess inside.
2. Similar photo but monkeying with Lightroom

| | | Cool building. Would like to see more. Not trying to razz you here, just playing armchair explorer. Just rock out with the camera and photograph it like you own it. Also, I don't know where you work. I'm an office monkey myself, so I'm usually dressed somewhat business casualish. Seriously a month ago I was in a place and the security was telling people that looked like meth'd out scrappers to turn around that they couldn't go that way. Then I walked by all dressed up taking pictures from a big (non-modern point and shoot) and he didn't look twice at me. Some times looking "important" can help. I don't even know where I'm rambling to here. Oh yah: NEED MOAR!

| | | I too am an office monkey...and that's just it, I was wearing khakis and a golf shirt. I thought that it would actually present better that way if I were spotted, I just honestly didn't have the time to go in. The plan was to take a run by, scope the cover and the parking and come back. I accomplished the drive by, snapped a couple photos and plan to head back in a few. This isn't my best work I'll admit, but it's as recent as yesterday so I wanted to post.

| | | Go to home depot and get a $20 white hardhat. A shiny clean white hard hat combined with business casual apparel says " I work for the insurance/real estate/utility/construction company, and they sent me here to get a few pictures, and I have to wear this silly hat because it's company policy" Clip board optional. Magnet sign on your car door that says "XYZ survey llc." for bonus points and easy parking in the open.
Looks like a cool old house. Hope to see more!

| | | Yup as I have told this story here before......I stopped by a location after work in heels and a dress just looking around. I got a personal tour and drinks from the HOT owner after.
A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind. |

| | | Are you saying I should start cross-dressing? I don't see how that would work as I think it might scare people away.

Never underestimate the craziness factor to make it seem what you're doing is not a big concerns. Example: Exploring naked. If you get caught, the least concern of your "captors" is your urban exploring.

Hahaha Eeeexcellent! I'll give the whole inspector garb a try. I have the hard hat, but to be honest I never considered bringing it. Brilliant! Shit, if I saw that I wouldn't question it. The naked thing I would, but then I doubt I would 911 over that. Rest assured, I'll be back at that local soon. Thanks for the input!

| | | Reflective vests are cool too. If you keep one in your pocket and think the po-po's saw you, you could duck into a phone booth, put it on, then run at the cops pointing wildly and say "he went that-a-way"...
