| | Subterranean Exploration in Lowell < on 8/24/2008 8:04 PM >
| | | Does anyone know of any drains, tunnels, mines, or otherwise underground exploration sites in my local area? At the risk of being too vague, I'm in the Lowell/suburban Boston area. I wouldn't mind a little travel time, but I'd prefer to explore the areas near my home. Also, any tips on draining, tunneling, or mining (ignoring the obvious: "when it rains, don't drain...") would be appreciated. I've been exploring for a few years now but I've yet to enter a drain.

| | | They're everywhere! Think about it, there's the canals and the river and all the old factories, just poke around downtown, no joke, over by Appleton street there's 3, you just gotta look!
It's all foreign to me. |

| | | Anyone know of any? I'm not averse to a bit of travel time, but I'd like to stay in my area...towns like Lowell, Chelmsford, Nashua, Hudson, Dracut, and Westford. Locations of any tunnels, caves, mines, or other subterranean areas are great, too.
