Yeah!?!? What parking lot? I'm at work, I'll have to look at google earth when I get home. How do you know it's in a parking lot? I'm not that familiar w/ google earth sorry. Btw thanks! You've been a big help w/ my Nike obsession!!!

It's a parking lot NW of the towers as I recall. If you download the file, it puts little markers down. I think its green for fire control and red for silo.

Just got back from a trip out to the Nike site. Great, great trip! To me that place is fu%king amazing! So much history to it all. And to see those towers peering out from the middle of the trees is haunting! I'll post pics if anyone is interested? A lot of the buildings have some great photo opps. I'm surprised more people don't talk about this place! It's one of my personal favorites.

Haha. Ya know I looked at one and the ladder appeared to be in good shape. I almost went up, but i just couldn't bring myself to do it. Had I been younger and dumber I may have done it. I have to much to lose now a days to do that kind of stuff. I'll leave it to the much brave at heart. I just don't have it in me anymore. Yeah, I'm a puss... : )

Are you calling me young and dumb? Haha jk man, awesome that you got out there to check them out. It's a pretty neat site with lots of exploration opportunities. Too bad all the silos around here are full of water, I was hoping to go underground but after seeing the state of the fox hill silos, I realized it wasn't going to happen.

There is a site in dranesville.

It is buried under...i'd estimate 3 feet of dirt.

There is a soccer field that some idiots constructed over top of it.

Figures, a nice piece of cold war history and some retard decides to destroy it.

There has been talk of my friend's friend purchasing the site and turning it into a paintball field.

The site will be excavated if the plan goes through, and the bunker/magazine reopened.
