|  | | | So today I discovered an interesting fact that the rather hideous Fiberglas Building in downtown Toledo, which was the former HQ of Owens Corning, has been abandoned since 1996. I've never been urban exploring before, and I doubt that I have any exploring allies among my friends or families, but I'd really like to take this opportunity, even if it just leads me repetitive floors of boring emptiness. I'd like to take it soon, too, because as it just so happens, I came across this, coincidentally posted on the same day I found out about this building. http://www.wtol.co...=8724532#poll73165 I know that the building is infested with asbestos and probably mold; I believe that I have the right kind of respirator thing, although I'd have to check on the filters. Like I said, I have no experience, but I do have a big flashlight, as well as a great urge to go exploring. Of course I have some questions, and I'd like some general assistance in exploring the potential for exploration. Two of my main questions would be, 1. Would this even be a viable target or mission? and 2. In general, what would the security be like at a 12-year-vacant, but still-owned-and-possibly-now-going-to-be-renovated building? I know that the inside is probably water-damaged, because they didn't heat the building enough to prevent the pipes from freezing and then blowing; I'm not sure of that says anything about how much they care about the building's security.
If any enviable explorers out there could lend me some guidance, I'd be very happy!

|  | | | based on the location it could be hard to get into... other then that i don't think you have to worry about security on a 12 year abandoned building
