Nature taking over

This image was shot with a 1982 Sear's brand KS-2 (Ricoh XR-7) using Plus-X film in 125 ISO at f-16 and 1/125. I took it at some well-photographed cement ruins near where I live. It was one of my first attempts working with film.

Actually, I think it is quite nice.

Where the heck did you find the old camera?

To be completely honest and I'm nothing more than an amateur myself, I don't feel it is that your photography is boring but rather, there's only one frame and it doesn't really jump out of the page at you. I'm not saying this to be a jerkass but perhaps to leave a little constructive crit based solely on my own opinion and experience. Perhaps you could try ditching some of either the left or right side to force the perspective down the cement hall (which appears to be your subject) and that would change the composition just enough to set it off.

I dunno. I guess what I'm saying is also to think about your subject and your photo. What do you want that photo to say? Do you want it to say, "that hallway is long" or do you want it to say, "these bushes are taking over" i think when you try to say both with one shot the picture gets a lil muddled.

Keep shootin' and sharing! I'm excited to see what else you get from that camera!
