Problems with noisy images?

well look no further, there is a plugin called noiseware which I have just purchased seriously this is the best thing since well anything.

I used to be really unhappy with noisy images from my Nikon D200 for night photos but here is an example of before and after noise reduction:

I know its not a UE photo but it demonstrates the program well:

the left side has had the noiseware program run on it and the right is how it was before:

I hope someone on here find this useful because I did

P.S I do not work for or have any affiliation with the company that makes this, I am just seriously impressed with the plugin.

It looks like it gets rid of fine details and softens up your photo, can you post the image before the noise reduction or another example?
To me with that example it doesn't look impressive at all.

that is just a quick test image you can bring back the detail easily by masking off areas you dont want or resharpening the image after.

I would be interested to see samples of the plugin being used on images with greater detail like a face to see how much detail is preserved.

Me too. Looks like it works pretty good but I have the same suspicions about detail loss.

I still haven't found a noise-reduction utility that works well without really softening the image. Dfine works best that I have seen so far

Think that might be a liiiiittle overdone, its a bit too smooth and even has some banding I think, but yea, been using plugins like this for a while. Noise Ninja and Neat Image are also good choices.

Likewise, I've worked with their portraiture plug-in and really like it.

You can always tell when you're watching Canadian television - the actors in the show are the same ones doing the commercials.
