| | Question about auto-bracketing, HDR shots & Jpegs < on 7/9/2008 12:08 AM >
| | | I recently picked up a Panasonic DMC-FZ18 camera. Here is my problem. The camera does have autobracket but only in JPEG mode. I cannot use autobracket if it's set to RAW. This kind of blows and to me, defeats the whole purpose of trying to take HDR shots. Why would they do this? Well anyhow, my question is this. Being as the camera is new, I can still return it but before I do... Is it possible to still create an HDR image using autobracketed JPEG images? Thank you [last edit 7/9/2008 12:08 AM by SirJinx - edited 1 times]

| | | Yes, you can create HDR with jpg. You can still to HDR with RAW without autobracketing, just adjust the exposure manually.

| | | It doesn't defeat the purpose at all. Its dumb as fuck, granted, but doesn't defeat the purpose. But yea, just bracket the exposure manually and you're all set.
