Yeah! I actually forgot it was a point-and-shoot by the end of the set. I can't even pick out specific ones I loved extra (hah!), they were all wonderful.

It hurts to see a building like that in such condition.

On the other hand, it's a very cool environment.

these pics are great, point and shoot or not. another set that goes to show its more about the person behind the camera than anything else...

Beautiful shots man, I know how surprisingly good a point and shoot can be (I use a GE A730 myself). Seeing the other buildings being torn down made mw whimper though.

It also inspired me to go back to a school I visited a while ago, but haven't been back to since a small fire ocurred there. It's small, only two stories and about the size of a house, but it's dated back to around 1865 I believe?

Softly creeping through
Empty hallways decades old,
glimpsing history.

thanks.

schools have always been one of my favorite types of places to explore. the building that's half torn down was built in 1865 and we're not sure about when the other one was built because its not on record but you can tell its much older.

I went back and checked yesterday...it's from 1883. I should be investigating soon since some of the windows have been unboarded and there is light inside now.
