Post by Samurai in my present state of mind, i would look forward to a firefight. seriously. sounds crazy, no? nothing makes your life come into focus like being shot at it. The volume goes way up, your nervous system starts to jitter and jive as adrenaline lights the circuits up. You feel like you're having an orgasm and running a four minute mile all at the same time. You start to sweat, your asshole literally retracts into your body as the fear hits you. Fight or flight, you make a split second decision. The finality of that decision adds to the rush. Getting shot at is nothing like you see in the movies. I get the feeling here that most of you folks are strangers to violence. NOTHING clarifies things like violence...
|
exactly, sounds like you may have seen some shit somewhere samurai...and that fear and adrenalin never will go away

I've also had a gun in my face before, and I would never describe the feeling as "good".

as of late, i look forward to near death experiences to get the blood flowing. Nothing proves you're alive more than cheating death and lunatic with a firearm in your face.

| | | I've been shot at, I was at what I thought was an abandoned farm. Turns out only part of it was in-active, cause he yelled something as he came out of god knows where and sent his german shepherd loose towards us as 3 of us barely jumped his fence and he then shot at us as we disappeared into the forest. Not fun

| | | 1. Assess the situation and find your exit points and decide if more shots coming or shooter is moving closer 2. Decide whether staying put is best option or moving
Option A MOVING 1 Find a way to display your not a threat 2 Call police 3.Follow your plan always keeping 2-3 alternative routes open 4. Do not hide if caught display not a threat 5. If more shots follow run and hide ..or return fire..run in a Zig zag pattern making you small. Pistols are highly inaccurate. Option B 1. Display you are not a threat 2. Call cops 3. Prepare to defend yourself 4. Wait and always keep a alternative exit open Remember there is not shots to wound. You only shot a firearm to kill. Controlling the fear and the flight or fight could be vital to your survival. If the shooter is moving closer /still shooting you will have to defend yourself. It is not murder as you were defending yourself. Your cell phone taking a video/recording can prove you were trying not to make a conflict. This can keep your butt out of jail!

No.... zig zag so you are hard to get a bead on, it doesn't make you small. And pistol's aren't "highly inaccurate", just the way most people shoot them is.

| | | the normal rules and laws do not always apply in detroit, particularly in the packard plant where that video is from. several people have been shot at, unprovoked, by those guards. their message is clear--stay the fuck away from whatever shady enterprise they are guarding, or else...

Ya I ment to say zig-zag and make your self small. Couldn't edit it ... And most people are not military/law enforcement trained in pistols. Either way a pistol is still highly inaccurate at medium distances.
