Buffalo Central Terminal: Film Extras Needed, UERs Welcome

If you have ever wanted to get inside the Buffalo Central Terminal, here is your chance. We are shooting a feature film in the Terminal. The title is First Dark. Think Sin City meets Harry Potter or maybe The Maltese Falcon meets Hellraiser. One scene takes place in what we call the "Grand Staircase" which is in the lower levels of the Terminal. An amazing location. We have turned it into a flea-market/bizarre. We are looking for extras to mill about as customers and vendors. UERs in full UER gear would be much welcome. In return, you get easy access to the terminal and get to see the lower depths and probably a bit more. We will also provide lunch. So, if you are in the Buffalo area or close enough and want to be in a feature film (Sony Pictures is attached as distributor) and get to see the BCT upclose and personal, drop me a line at williams.redscream(at)gmail.com. The shoot dates are August 4th/5th.

Someone who obviously does not belong on this forum trolling to find people to be in their movie. I guess there is nothing wrong with it, but I don't see anything good that can come of it

...unless your into "UERing" and you want to bring your "UER gear" to see the grand staircase "up close and personal," only minus the personal, because it will be a flea market/bazzare and you will be surrounded by faeries who are into Harry Potter and film noir

Maybe he wants only people who sit online all day and never do any actual exploring, hence the "UERing" part.

As someone who is obviously not aware of the situation, perhaps you should refrain from comment. And of course you obviously know that the stairs are the only thing to see at the BCT. These people have shot at least one other film at the BCT, and have a good relationship with the CTRC. And in light of last years incident regarding the BCT. This may be a good opportunity to allay some of the concerns the CTRC has in regards to UE'ers. As someone who knows the people who are restoring the terminal, they have always been very hospitable to our requests. I personally, as well as many others have been allowed to roam the terminal pretty freely. If this furthers the restoration effort, and also furthers the relationship between the "UE" community and the CTRC, then all "explorers" benefit.

I'm just saying it sucks to explore places when they are movie sets. Going into the BCT and seeing it dressed up for a movie would take away from the fun, if you ask me.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is, even if some of it is dressed up, there are still tons of things to see. In places where movie people don't set up to shoot.

I dunno. whenever i see a movie set ANYWHERE it screams.. 'oh look easy access' in bright bold letters.. I have been on sooo many movie and T.V. sets.. as of late I was on the HULK last Summer as well as a Law and order set, Last week I was on set for the Border, I was on set for Max Payne (whatever happened to that movie?!) I've been on dozens and dozens..

as for exploring this place and looking cool and explorery AND getting it on film in a feature film.. go the hell for it.. If I was near Buffalo I would..

I will defeat that which was once untouchable only so that I may now move on

They released a trailer for the Max Payne movie. It looks like its going to suck ass. Its being directed by the guy who did the Omen remake (suck), has the chick from that 70s show as Mona Sax and Mark Whalburg as Max Payne (more suck)

It may not be Uwe Boll caliber bad, but goddammit, its trying

I seem to be the only one who has fond memories of that game. It pioneered the "bullet-time" slow-motion that is still prevalent in shooters today, had neat artistic direction, and the dream sequences/hallucinations were fucking tight... It may not have withstood the test of time, but I think it at least deserves a little more respect than it gets

Speaking of forgotten game-to-movie projects, who knows what happened to Alice?

Only "Alice" I can think of that your referring to is "Resident Evil"?

As for Max Payne, That was a bad ass game!
I HATED the dream sequences tho, The crying baby annoyed the shit out of me and I ALWAYS fell of the blood lines..

No, he means American Mcgee's Alice. That plan got shit-canned a while ago. I think Sarah Michelle Geller still wants to do it, but the rest of the production company dropped it.

The dream sequences were hard to play, but there is no denying how cool they were. The movie had potential that I am sure it wont live up to. Imagine how cool the hallucinations with the Valkyr drug or the dream sequences would be in the movie if they got it right?

I keep hearing rumors that it is still a possibility though, I think someone else may pick up the rights but havent heard anything about that recently...
