1. I'm sure you could pull some more out of the sky and get some shadow details from the house. The picture looks flat even though the colors could be interesting.

2. While I don't necessarily care about blown out skies, this one would have benefited greatly from a cloud or two. The point of view is uninteresting and these branches are distracting. The black and white conversion is dull, it looks like you've clicked the "desaturate" button in the software that came with your camera.

3. Uninteresting snapshot.

4. If it's an attempt at light painting, I'd suggest you point the flashlight deeper into the tunnel. This picture almost looks like it's been taken with the pop-up flash.

Quite frankly, I find this confusing. That 7-14mm alone is worth 1400$ - with all due respect, you need to get back to basics. You haven't put the slightest effort into composition and I sincerely think you should experiment a bit more before playing with long exposures and expensive gear.

By the way, sorry if this sounded harsh, it wasn't meant to be anything else than honest critique.

The only one that moves me is 1.

It is a little too soft for me, but it still looks aight.

The others did not really move me one way or the other.

its okay... I haven't had any kind of critiques since college, which i graduated from 2 years ago, and then my main subjects were people... this is completely new territory for me...

thanks for the input =)

and... I do tech support for Olympus cameras... so checking equipment out is relatively easy.. though I do own the E-510 with the 14-42 and 45-150 kit lenses.

On the last one.. no, there was no flashlight. It was just a time exposure of the inside of a truck at this gas station we found.
