|  | | | My friend and I went out to the Glenn Dale hospital in Maryland this afternoon expecting a full on ninja assault on the buildings, only to find the PGPS trailer empty (we knocked and parked in their lot), but a friendly police officer showed us around the place and even opened some of the otherwise locked doors. I never was really a "**** the police!" kind of guy, but after meeting this chill cop, I definitely have a lot more respect for the men in blue. We had no trouble getting into the places, and since a cop actually allowed us into the buildings (unofficially), no B&E was required.

| | | | The PGC cops are cool because it is not in their jurisdiction any more. They keep the trailer for paperwork and the like. They are awesome as long as you are cool to them, same thing happened to me about 3 years ago.
But now than MNCPPS owns it, the park police will throw the book at you if they catch you.

| | | | Thankfully the many times I have been over the years, I have only had to run from the cops once, and that was way back in like 96. I am always keeping an eye out, but with some smarts and common sence, the place is really not that hard.
I have heard that a few months back, they sealed everything up. Is it open again?

| | | | First story windows are sealed with wood and on occasion, Plexiglas, but a few have been opened or were never sealed in the first place. On the Morgue side, it was easy to enter and fairly unboarded.

| | | | I'd definitely check out the incinerator and the watertower, both look great and are located next to one another. Incinerator didn't seem to have any open doors, so we climbed through a window. MAJOR asbestos throughout the patient housing wards, but the staff quarters (near the incinerator, squat brick buildings) are fairly clean.
On the other side of the property, closest to the trailer, the morgue is awesome, they have the body slabs that slide out (make for a fun photo op.)
The other buildings on each side are pretty boring and boarded up.
The guard mentioned that there is a series of underground tunnels used to keep the patients away from the outside, that ran from each building to the next, but they are apparently flooded. Possibly worth checking out though.

DC has some real gems, just need to look a bit more thanks to the better local economy, unlike Bodymore and Philthadelphia. Still Bodymore and Philly are always a good time.
