i've been concentrating on my photography pretty intently for the last few months, working a lot on composition, colors, and exposure while urban exploring/light painting...

these are some recent shots from the fleishhacker pool house in san francisco. thoughts? suggestions? critique?

I really like the ones of the light coming out of the lockers, what light source are you using? A flash with a gell or some typ of flashlight?

thanks! for shot #3 i used a pink gelled flash for the inside, and light painted the outside of the lockers with a green gelled LED flashlight.

I like picture number 4 the best actually. It's got great depth and the fantastic peeling paint in combination with the lock left behind really give the photo character. Good job on all of these!

ugh.. now I have to go check around and find a good Nikon compatible radio flash trigger.. Great thing about cameras.. so many gadgets to go with them. Great job, that is how I thought you did it.

Alright "YouOnlyLiveOnce", here are my thoughts...

1) I love the lighting, and even the look through framing, but I feel like where's the so what? It's an interesting shot, but I'm not sure what I should be looking at.

2) I like it... Not amazing to me, but nice...

3) I love this shot, but I wonder if maybe white light on the front, and still popping the flash in the rear might have worked better, but that's just cause I feel like I'm missing details.

4) Love the perspective!!!!!! However I think a lower F-stop would really "make" this photo.

While radio flashes are cool, I know "YouOnlyLiveOnce" doesn't have one, nor do you need one. Open your shutter then walk light less to where your going to pop your flash, or get your friend to do it for you...

I love all of them, Light painting is something I'm getting interested in and really need to start trying. I like the low light in them too, kinda eerie-ish. keep up the good work!
