Hey Av I have you considered putting in a field under the physical location for UTM coordinates or maybe just a lat/longitude field? I think it would be nice to have for getting aerial photos of sites and for people with gps units to find places, especially remote ones.

Ehh... I'm gonna say that this is a bad idea from the start.

The reason that most things in the LDB are left semi-cryptic (as far as I know, that is) is to keep your random git from finding it with no effort at all. Putting up Lat/Long coodrinates makes it that much easier.

Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years.

Then don't put in the Lat/Long of the location. Nobody's holding a gun to your head... I hope.

There are plenty of places in an LDB listing where you could include coords - I don't think an extra field is required.

I'm all for this. I keep a list of coordinates of places on my site and that I add to the location database. An extra field would be good, because it could also specify a set datum (like WGS84) for all of us to use. I like it, personally.

Seems like it's split 50/50 between the people that care... I should have posted a poll.
