Dude...you are completely out of your element. Poutine is a Godsend of culinary goodness. The reason it costs as much as a full portion of meat is that it's because poutine is Quebcois haute cuisine. And that makes it expensive.

| | | My god I really hope he didn't go to the ivanhoe! haha. But in the future for any travellers to van I would suggest staying in the Cambie hostel in Gastown. It looks like shit but its on top of probably the most active bar in vancouver and also the cheapest.
