Tidewater and Eastern Shore Virginia

Here's some pics from the U.S. Naval Communications station on the eastern shore. From Norfolk, Virginia, it is just 5 minutes after you get off the Bay Bridge Tunnel. Abandoned.
A great spot. Found a door to the section on the left, but the door to the right section was covered in poison ivy. I'm deathly allergic. PM me if anyone's been in the right side.

If you haven't been there, theres a paved road that runs to the right to the building in the pic which is fenced except for a broken gate in front. If you want to go to the water, it is a few minutes walk around.

The other way down the road to the left takes you behind some homes and then to another fence which is FEDERAL. Did not have time to explore the 'Federal' area. Locked up tight.

Sweet. Is it just that one building or how big is the place?

It's just the one building to the right road.....
but the interesting part is to the left road....but the fence
says it's federal. Would like to know what's there.

I think the whole place is over 100 acres.
I don't know how to do the 'location' thing yet, but use this on
mapquest, and then start zooming in until you see it on the map.
it' labelled.

The buildings to the right of the parking area belong to the State Game and Inland Fisheries and are fully accesible...doors wide open.

The buildings to the left of the parking area are owned by US Fish and Wildlife (down about 3/4 mile). they are pretty much identical to the other building. The fence is locked but you can find breaks in it. The building is locked up tight

If you followed Seaside road back south to the wildlife refuge (about 2 miles) you can walk around and on top off the old Winslow Bunker. It's also locked up tight, but you can still peak in.
