The city demolished the mill buildings some years ago. Now, they are about to demolish the power plant for the mill, which was itself a fun and historic UE destination, despite suffering from quite a bit of vandalism. It is sad that the City of Kalamazoo has done nothing to preserve any of what formed the large portion of the city's economy for many decades. Last summer they also demolished the Kalamazoo Paper Company mill, which I unfortunately never made it to in time to UE it. It is now May, and demolition is taking place. The contractors say it will take a couple months to completely demolish it.
